100 Men’s First Year in Review
We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our hosts, to all of our members, to all of the volunteers involved, and, most importantly, to all of the charities that we have had the pleasure of working with. Through the efforts of everyone involved, we were able to raise $65,550! Another damn big thank you from the members of 100 Men Who Give a Damn NL.

Held July 7th at the Capital Hotel on Kenmount Road, 100 Men’s inaugural meeting was a huge success, with three excellent charities being nominated. Ultimately, Young Adult Cancer Canada walked away with a cheque for $10,300 that they can use to benefit countless young lives across our country. Thank you to Steele Hotels for providing us with the venue.

100 Men NL held its second meeting on October 20, 2014 at the Capital Hotel on Kenmount Road. And with membership approaching 150, they were in for an even bigger donation. By the end of the evening, it was Choices for Youth that was voted as the recipient charity, and they walked away with a cheque for $18,200! A big thank you to The Construction Labour Relations Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Inc. for their contribution of $5,000!

100 Men’s third meeting was held on January 19th, 2015 and was hosted in the beautiful showroom of the Mercedez-Benz dealership on Kenmount Road. Including a much-appreciated additional donation of $5,000 from Mercedez-Benz, the total donation for the evening was $18,950, which was presented to the Dr. Jack Hand Legacy Foundation.

The final meeting of 100 Men’s first year was held on April 27th, 2015 at BMW’s beautiful dealership on Kenmount Road. Not only was BMW a gracious host, they also decided to donate an extra $5,000 to the chosen charity. Ultimately, Active Start was chosen as the recipient charity and was presented with a cheque for $18,100!

That’s a Wrap!
We would love to build on the success of our first year by growing our membership and increasing the impact we have on the charities that are doing great work in our community.
100 Men Who Give a Damn is an organization with a simple structure and a simple mission: it’s entirely member-driven and its entire membership is driven by their desire to make positive change in their community. The model is simple, too; three members nominate one charity each, each charity is given the opportunity to present their organization at a meeting, members cast their ballots, and whichever charity receives the most votes gets a $100 donation from each member.
Everything we do is volunteered, donated or sponsored, which means every dollar raised goes directly to the charities we support. To find out how you can volunteer, donate or sponsor, contact us at email@example.com.
